No. 8 - a blue bargello wall hanging
2 Attachment(s)
I did not know that I could have UFO'S already. I have only been quilting since May 2017 and here is a finished UFO. The reason I finished this today was I needed the basting pins so I can quilt my sampler quilt from the Quilting Bee and this one was already sandwiched with a lot of pins:-)
I lost interest in this because I am really not crazy about the fabric. This was made with 2 jelly rolls, and a lot of the fabrics had a metallic finish on it and I do not like that. It is as bad as dealing with glitter, which is something I just despise. I had silver flecks everywhere and even using sticky tape it was hard to clean up. Oh well, it is done now. I quilted this using soft "S" shapes following the path of the fabrics. I used my Singer 15-88 treadle to quilt, make the rod pockets, and bind it. It is not really FMQ because I used a walking foot. So here is my 8th finished quilt before binding: Here is a shot of the back. You can see the quilting lines and a couple of rod pockets. I put pockets on the short and long side so it can be hung either way. This photo is not as bright because it is dark outside - already. All that is left is to hand sew the pockets down to the back. It really did not take all that long to finish, maybe 4 hours total, somthat is not bad and now it is done. Thanks for looking:) |

I love it. The glitter gives it a sparkle. But it is hateful to clean up after......

nicely done

Love it when I finish a UFO. Good job.

Nice job! After washing your quilt, most of the excess "glitter" should be gone.

I think your bargello is lovely. UFOs seem to be common among us quilters...so many beautiful patterns and fabrics and not enough hours, hands or machines! I’m closing in on mine.
