Suzy decided one of my first quilts was the solution to no heat in the house. Patiently waiting for the service man to come.

Most of your body heat is lost through your head. This is one smart dog! Thanks for sharing such a cute picture.

I didn't cover Suzy, she did that herself. And, yes, she is definitely one smart dog at almost 13 yrs old.

This is how I tucked our "Magnum" in every night in his last few years. He was about the same age as yours and grew to expect being tucked in.

I grew up with a German Shorthair. Her name was Lady and although my Dad tried to mate here with another Shorthair, it never worked. Then the neighbor's Lab sailed over our fence and many days later we had 11 pups or which 9 survived. What a variety of colors/spots there was. Only one black like the Lab. The rest were either spotted black/white, spotted liver/white, or solid liver. Every Thanksgiving after getting her we had pheasant for the table. Thanks for the memories. Hope you heat is finally back on by now and you and Suzy are warm again.

My little dog likes "his blankie" when he gets cold. BTW==I really like both of the quits pictured with the two dogs. It would be nice to see bigger pictures of them esp. the pink side. Looks like some nice quilting.

LOL! These critter kids are cracking me up! Don't let my Leo see'em or he'll expect me to give him the quilt I'm wrapped up in now... LOL!
