I came across these at an estate auction and thought my mom would like them.
Anyone help with the names of these patterns so I could let her know. any other info would be great too if any other photos are needed, just let me know. If your mom doesn't care for them, I'm open to adopting you!

The middle quilt is a Lemoyne Star. I don't know about the other two.

I'm not good on block names, but I just wanted to say welcome to the board from Ireland. I'm sure there will be someone else here who can help.

I don't know either. Welcome from Southern California

The 1rst one is very similar to a Buckeye bueaty, it could be an adaptation of it. The second is a string pieced Lemoyne or 8 point star. The 3rd one, I am not sure if there is a name. I think when the squares are set like that with the light and dark diagonal rows, they call it Field and Furrows setting. Now remember I said I Think!!! :D

I am no authority on this but... I saw a quilt many years ago in a magazine with the name Indian teepee that looked very much like your first quilt. The second one looks like a scrappy strip pieced LeMoyne Star. The third one kind of looks like a utilitarian quilt made with leftover scraps ... slightly in the sunshine and shadow setting. |
Thanks for the info.
I look forward to reading more... |
How do you tell if they are Machine or Hand sewn?
