I have been playing around with this for a while, and finally made the layout decision and got the top finished today. I rarely get a chance to make a pattern just for fun, as the need for comfort quilts keeps me busy, but this is one I wanted to make after seeing a post of something similar here on the board, I think.
I don't know where this one will end up, so I'm not going to back it yet. For now it will remain a flimsy. I used some yardage from my stash for the sashings, the rest is all scraps I had. I didn't buy anything for this quilt! |

Like, like, like it. Great job and I love those blocks. I have several tops I need to put backings on quilt, but just haven't done it. I really wish as soon as I finished tops, I would have gone ahead and put backing on and quilted. Now, I just have unfinished tops and if anything happens to me, don't know what will happen to them, and I have invested too much time and money on them.

Very Nice, love the colors

Very nice. I see one of these in the near future for the charity I make quilts for kids for. Great use of color.

Great job and use of scraps.

The original one I saw on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/AbTazg...p86wm6wMBEH94/
I cut mine out a little differently than the one posted, and think mine was a little easier. Since each block only needs 2 HSTs, it was easy to use the standard method using 2 squares. If I were making all the "leaves" the same color, I would use the 8-at-a-time method. |
I like , very nice .
|
Very pretty - thanks for explaining that you used 1/2 squares in the corners.
|
Lovely flimsy!! I like the colors you chose to go into it. Very good job!
|
That is very nice.

I like it!
