I agree! Just finish it the way it is. The boats are quirky and the points will look planned that way. Get the quilt finished before the child has lost all interest in it.

Love it and so will the 5 yr old. the imperfections make it special. Be proud of what you have done.

Yes,triangles are fun and frustrating! I am doing a pinwheel quilt. So many "practice" pinwheels to the leftover pile.
either the points didn't meet or got cut off. Piecing pinwheels next to pinwheels was impossible. My solution - put a plain or flowered block between pinwheels. Leftovers? Using them in potholders and other little projects. You would be surprised at how many people never notice the mistakes. Just quilt on!

I think it's great. I love the colors and it's a happy quilt surely to be loved. Since the triangles are more freestyle I'm sure it'll all come together and look fine when completed.

It's a delightful quilt, and your son will not be the quilt police!

Ben is excited to see me working on it again. I hope to have it quilted by Christmas for him. Along with my mom's 45th anniversary double wedding ring that is only 6 years late. And my niece Anna's highschool graduation quilt that is three years late! Are we seeing a pattern here?

All you have to remember is my favorite. "I didn't tell you which year you would be getting the gift."

As long as your son loves it, who cares about the triangles!! only God is perfect.
