Not a quilt...A beach bag instead
 

Just finished this yesterday for my DIL birthday...ship loves flip flops. Today in So. Cal. we are having rain...much needed rain..and I am starting a new quilt today and LOVING it! I can hear the pitter patter on the windows and it makes me want to sew all day.

Sooo cute! Totes are so much fun to make and of course use! I just finished my selvage bag and I'm so excited to take it with me to work today! Your DIL is going to love it! Your tote turned out soooooo cute!!!!

Those are my best sewing days when its raining! Don't feel the least bit guilty of doing nothing but sewing! You would think we get a lot of sewing done here in Oregon!

Very nice tote! I also did one recently (photo posted already) of a flip flop tote!! It was still raining here this morning, but the sun is peeking thru intermitently now, and we even had some hail earlier. Love this weather-we really need the rain!!

Love the flipflops in a beach pattern. Told my neice I'd make her a beach quilt since she just moved to florida. Am just looking for the right fabric.

I'm in SoCal as well and loved the rain this weekend, worked on a purse, and then remembered way too late there was a quilt show in Glendale...boo hoo
