I have spent a few hours doing these for my daughter. There are 26  all together, so have more to finish. Then back to quilting.
The hanging is for an Alzeimer's unit at a local care center. It is made with as many different textured fabrics as I had in my stash (including the felt and vinyl from an old letterjacket). Obviously not perfect, but I think the people touching it won't mind. I did machine embroidery around the edges and along the ribbons to add more texture. |
oooooooh WOW!! I think Bargello is just amazing and so creative! Beautiful job!!!

As you will see, I removed the bargello. It wasNOT MINE, altho I wish it were. I uploaded the wrong picture. I will try the hangning again.

I thought maybe a resident had the name Jacob. I did Noel and Peace letters for Christmas one year. Did you add any buttons or snaps on your blocks. I know the busy tables for Dementia units have those on them to also stimulate and remind people of simple tasks. Awesome work.

These are for the wall, but you have given me a great idea to bring up next week when I talk to the activities director again. I have tons of large buttons and some old larger-teeth zippers that I could do something with.
