First of all, Thank you to all for your kind, kind words. Quilting is my passion, however, I am by no means a great quilter. I truly enjoy every aspect of the trip. In answer to your questions about the pattern. Yes, I found Jacqueline de Jonge's pattern a little confusing at first. I believe that is because English is not her first language. But, that said, it certainly was not difficult to follow. I rely on the accuracy of paper piecing. Paper piecing makes it easy to piece blocks that would be a nightmare otherwise.
As for the fabrics used, they were all Robert Kaufman Asian prints, a gift from my daughter. My second daughter bought me the pattern. So this is truly a family quilt.
Again, thank you everyone.

The name of the pattern is Surprisingly Red. Since I did not use red fabrics, mine is Surprisingly Not Red.
Thank you for your kind remarks.

Just adding to the praise for your quilt in all aspects, workmanship, tenacity, color use and fabric selection. I would also love to see a close up of how your quilting design.

So what show are you entering so we can see it in person?

Hi,
Wow! You did a really great job! Beautiful done! I'm a little familiar with the quilt, and the designer, and I think she would love you to post a picture of your Surprisingly Red on her facebook page. I noticed other quilters did the same with their finished quilts. I give you the facebook adress: www.facebook.com/becolourfulquilts
