It looks great. Nobody will ever know what you thought it was going to look like.

I actually like the 2nd best, beautiful and I certainly would not take it apart. Looks great.

You really have to laugh about it.

Been there, done that.

And in this case, yeah, I would reverse sew it. Unless you change the outside blocks to make a complete X with dark lines going through the whole quilt.

Without that, the 2nd design, as is, is just not as defined as the first one, and looks a bit too scrappy.

So, what's your favorite type of seam ripper?

And seems I'm in the minority. And so it goes. ;) ;)

I agree.

I would take it out and do it the way that was planned.

I like them both but if your not happy now , bite the bullet and take it apart or you will regret it later. Been there dont that and so have others.

everything looks good but the second row, center plaid block. wonder what happened? that sucker moved on you.
ok, well maybe the two top blocks got turned too. oh well, what's a bit more work?

This has a very interesting effect and is definantly a stand out quilt. I like it, but it really is up to you if you want to change it in your heart, maybe that is what you should do. I have pulled apart quilts before, it isn't fun. To say the least.

Let us know what you do. I am going to watch the thread to see.

I like your original plan.... I'd redo it.

I like the second pic better. Very nice.

Maia B 02-21-2011 05:57 PM

I like both! I like the 1st way a little better, but if all the points line up, I doubt I would take it apart. Maybe make another with your original design?
