One hour. I can believe it! beautiful!!

It is gorgeous and your time will speed up as you learn. The precision is worth the time. Your colors sing together.

MicheleC 04-30-2019 03:31 PM

Beautiful work!

Tartan 04-30-2019 03:37 PM

Pretty! Have you seen Tula Pink sea serpent made from NYB blocks? Angela Walters quilted it on her blog.

I can believe it! This week I’ve started my first NYB quilt. It’s a Judy Niemeyer pattern. It took me an entire day just to prepare the paper templates and the paper foundations!

PAMAR 04-30-2019 03:49 PM

I just made a NYB block using the ruler set. The first one took me two hours! The fourth one took me 15 minutes. There is a learning curve, but it does get better quickly.

Jingle 04-30-2019 04:30 PM

Pretty colors.

quiltingshorttimer 04-30-2019 04:51 PM

wow--that is small! and precise!

Quiltah Mama 04-30-2019 05:01 PM

Wow Barb! It’s gorgeous.

SusieQOH 05-01-2019 04:16 AM

Barb, you've convinced me that I could paper piece this. Now if I can only get your results............. :)

Snooze2978 05-01-2019 05:44 AM

Very nicely done. Looks like you fussy cutted the striped fabric so it looks like one continuous piece with the solid fabric between it.

sue.ross.8782 05-01-2019 05:48 AM

Was the one hour of work worth it to you? For me, as a bystander, it's gorgeous and I look forward to seeing more. Brava!

Barb, you are doing a fabulous job and it is going to be gorgeous. I hope the process gets quicker as you become more comfortable with it.

there is no striped fabric in this quilt, those are all individual pieces

That is going to be beautiful and 1 hour working on it is worth every minute. Great workmanship

Doggramma 05-01-2019 09:47 AM

That turned out so nice! I love the Tula fabric. Everything seems to take longer than you think it should.

audsgirl 05-01-2019 08:16 PM

It looks beautiful. Your hour was put to very good use.

Leslie

Darcyshannon 05-01-2019 11:14 PM

That looks great.

Lady Diana 05-02-2019 05:03 AM

It took me a minute to figure out that this section is sideways from the normal NYB spire layout. Have not seen that before. Thanks for posting the rest of your work! Beautiful fabric! beautiful work! Well done.

Plee1053 05-02-2019 01:18 PM

Love it and your colors.

SewHooked 05-03-2019 07:37 PM

Nice block, but please check the point at the 1" mark. It looks like it will be cut off once sewn with a 1/4" seam.

Sallybear6 05-06-2019 10:03 AM

Wow! it is gorgeous!!

Patchworkbarb 05-06-2019 11:46 AM

No I haven’t seen that quilt. Will go have a look

Lilrain 05-06-2019 02:57 PM

This is gorgeous, Barb! I love the colors. Are you planning many more blocks?

Leslie

Going for at least a double, maybe queen.

I, going to call this one done. I need to move onto something less stressful. I may add a border though, what do you all think
