Did you know the more ugly the fabric the better the OBW looks...not saying ur fabic is ugly, its georgus to practice on, but look for wild and busy fabric and you got a winner...

You made a good choice. Would love to see the finished quilt.

April, I think the two are very similar. From reading here, I think stack-n-whack and 4 patch posies are also related ideas.

Ha! Barbara...I called it ugly at home...I didn't want to offend anyone here who may have liked the fabric in it's whole form. It was super easy to cut up because I had absolutely no attachment to it. I'm already scouring the web for more ideas for my next OBW, and I have seen some doozies!

My kind of colors. I'm wanting to do one of these.

wow..I can HONESTLY say that I am surprised....I would not have looked twice at that fabric..BUT it works out great! and by seeing MORE of the background color it really enhances the prettiness of the floral/berry stuff!

Lovely. I have been thinking about trying this but have not had the chance because I keep making quilts for babies, family and gifts. Working may way through the stash but not getting to try any new techniques. I also am looking forward to your final project photos!

Your material was definetly a good choice! It's going to be beautiful when you're done with it!

I really like how that fabric turned out. That will make a pretty quilt!
