Ode to the Islands
2 Attachment(s)
Over the last few years my DD has brought me home FQs from Maui and also from Vancouver Island. This last retreat in April I pieced the top & finished quilting it last night, it makes me happy! (I used a Polydown batting from Hobbs because I was also gifted it, I much prefer quilting with Warm and Natural Cotton batting) The pattern is from The Quilter Magazine Sept. 2007 and I made it before with the black sashing and Australian & Tahitian fabrics, here is the link to that thread. https://www.quiltingboard.com/pictur...e-t266210.html

I really, really like that quilt. I love the fabric you used for the border. It really ties everything together. The back is wonderful...two quilts in one. TFS!
|
Beautiful fabrics! Love the two different sides of the quilt.
|
Both this quilt, both sides and your eariler quilt are absolutely beautiful.

Love both front and back. BrendaK

Very pretty quilt...and a wonderful way to enjoy the gifted fabric rather than have them folded up in your stash. The backing compliments the quilt nicely. Great job.
|
Great idea for using "special" fabrics.
|
I really like your quilt and I like the way the back looks. Nice job.
|
Very pretty on both sides!
|
Lovely and peaceful quilt!

Love, love, love it.... both sides. I looked at the other one as well and it was awesome, too.

Great use of those fabrics!

Terrific quilt, and fun fabrics!

Beautiful. Crisp, clean, colorful. Makes me relax just to look at it.
