I was so into this wall hanging. I had it all cut out and wasn't happy with the first batch of centers so I started over. Then I came down with a bad, bad case of bursitis in my shoulder. I finally got it all pieced together. I was so careful doing my measuring and cutting; I just don't think it was meant to be. Not happy at all how some of the blocks (didn't) measure up but need some suggestions as to what color I should border it in. Thanks for your suggestions.

I think the orange...

lindyline 10-11-2010 05:27 PM

I agree orang, but maybe a small border first, of black, or perhaps that lovely print.

wolfkitty 10-11-2010 05:27 PM

Maybe orange, then dark brown?

littlehud 10-11-2010 05:30 PM

I would go with a narrow orange border and a wider brown one. That is really pretty.

do small brown border then go with the gray large to put in swag designs make the pineapples pop right out.

Still not getting the police statements. The police are helpers. Well, when criminals are involved ;-) I think it looks fine. I would somehow incorporate, if possible, the background you chose. Hard for me to say because I am not sure what you are seeing as an end game as far as size and usefulness.

brenda21 10-11-2010 05:40 PM

I think black would pop :)

tinkerfeet 10-11-2010 05:48 PM

I also think orange would look great. LOVE THE QUILT.

sueisallaboutquilts 10-11-2010 05:49 PM

That pretty print and black.
I love it :D

I think black then the pattern. It is stunning. I love it.

Well you can't tell of any of the boo boo's! I think you did a beautiful job! Sorry about your shoulder.. I know, that hurts!

np3 10-11-2010 06:12 PM

orange, then brown.

tlrnhi 10-11-2010 06:14 PM

I think the orange would be the best, BUT, I just love it!

anniec55 10-11-2010 07:26 PM

I think the orange and agree a small frame border first, either the print or black would really enhance the overall quilt. I like it! Quite eye catching, nicely done.

Ditter43 10-11-2010 07:35 PM

The yellow , then black! Very pretty! :D

SueDor 10-12-2010 02:04 AM

I think the orange for the border, if you need it bigger then the brown. Love it.

patricej 10-12-2010 03:26 AM

i think you should be MUCH happier with your quilt than you are. it's a stunner!

1. in that design, there is no need for everything to align perfectly.
2. it would take me all day with a magnifying glass to find the mistakes you see. i would much rather spend that time gazing upon your beauty with the admiration it deserves.

i would use either orange, black, or a very dark brown for the binding.

amma 10-12-2010 09:16 PM

I love it! Those fabrics really pop :D:D:D

kristen0112 10-12-2010 09:19 PM

I think you quilt is lovely. I would put a narrow border of one of the dark colors and then bind it with that golden yellow color from the center

Mariposa 10-13-2010 09:09 AM

I vote for a narrow orange border, followed by a larger brown border.
