Just remember, keep yourself 1/4" around and I think you can square that up just fine, as I do see the 1/4 inch on your seams.

I don't iron my seams until the block is finished. I just finger press and I seem to have better luck not stretching the fabric. It might be worth a try to do one that way. I didn't believe that it would work until I tried it.

Thanks for all the advice! I have another block a bit like that - I will probably wait a bit to tackle it but the no pressing should help. :)

It doesn't look that bad looks like it just needs to be squared up. Did you use Thangles? They are a paper piece that makes half square triangles and helps keep it from stretching out of shape. Tha other thing Ive heard a lot of people recommend is starching it when cutting out after sewing, etc.

I'm bookmarking this so I can watch your responses because I made a quilt with triangles and, boy, did I mess up! You block looks great compared to my (so called) star!
