thanks everyone! I will just put this in a drawer every now and then to get a break
have a great weekend! |
That looks great! Log cabins are alot of work but so worth it. I am always amazed when beginners start on one, they look easy but get cat-a-wampus quick.

It is a very pretty start. It's going to be beautiful quilt when done.

Your fabrics/colors are terrific, and it will be a wonderful quilt when you are finished. Just take it a couple blocks at a time, and you'll be finished before you know it.
|
Lol.....I hear you.... I did one for my MIL and it was a challenge to stay motivated. Yours is turning out beautiful...

Do you make your blocks by completing one at a time, or do you do many/all the blocks one round at a time?
I have always done mine by starting out doing a bunch of the blocks completing one round on all of them, then on to the next round on all of them. Somehow this way seems less tedious to me because when I have one finished, I have a bunch of them completed. Jan in VA |
Love the colors and the fabric. You will so delighted when you are finished. This will be a real beauty. BrendaK

When I tackle one of these, I think I will do it as chain piecing - you know, first sew 2 strips & cut into '2 patch' pieces. Then cut strips into the same length and join to the two-patches. Keep cutting strips for the next side and sew, till all rounds are finished. Hopefully it might be quicker.

Yes, i imagine it will take a while, but it will be beautiful when you are done. good color combo's you have going there.

Love the colors. It will be worth the time and effort when you’re finished.
