But in the first picture, there is white binding against a red quilt; in the second picture it looks like red on red, and in the third picture there is red binding against white which surely seems like the front of the quilt. I am new to this board, and to quilting. I hope this is the right place to ask for help! I am trying to make my second quilt. The pattern is Ohio Star, but I am having trouble getting the pieces to line up. I am using a quarter inch seam. Am I right in thinking that I need to make the points on the stars by sewing two squares crosswise and cutting them apart, opening the new square and sewing the squares in rows to form the pattern?
