I am looking for any suggestions for a border. Not sure what to use. thanks. Measures 40x60 right now, I am making a lap quilt/couch throw

Great job on your piecing!!!

How about a white inner border, then a middle border pieced from all the fabrics you used in the blocks, then a wider white outer border? You could even piece the binding, too.

A print with all the block colors in it.

You could use the small triangles you cut off & sew them together & make tiny squares, then put four of them together to make a small block & then put a sashing around them in maybe dark gray & use that for the border. If you don't have enough of the triangles to go all the way around it, you could add same size blocks of any left over fabric in the quilt & add sashing to two ends of them & alternate them around it. Hope you can understand or visualize what I am saying.

Personally I'd do a thin frame of the solid dark gold in the quilt...and then a thicker outside frame in the solid Marroon in the quilt....Then a print for the binding

I really like your idea Halo and lucky me gray is one of my most favorite colors, I have hopefully enough of the fabrics to do what you suggested, no gray, but another shopping trip I see comming up thanks for the suggestions
