This is my tiny I Spy quilt. 2 inch squares. My plan is to make it 45 x 60. So if you have any extra scraps send them my way. :)

So Cute!!

Olga it is beautiful. I have started one that is 4 inch squares, and have put it away several times just getting frustrated with it. You give me courage to keep making it. Someday one of my grandchildren will enjoy it.(Or a great grandchild if I don't keep working on it.)

I'm curious, just how many insane projects do you have going at once? Beautiful quilt, but you have more spirit than I could dream of.

Jennifer22206 01-11-2011 06:06 PM

oh you're brave! I love the small squares!

ilovetosew 01-11-2011 06:08 PM

Very nice! Uses up lots of little scraps, doesn't it?

Olga, have you ever seen the collage creating a picture by using magazine covers? That's what your quilt reminded me of! It could be done with small fabric squares also. I've been playing with the idea to create a landscape quilt.

needles3thread 01-11-2011 09:31 PM

Love all the different fabrics.

That is really cute. How many of each did you use? I may have some to send to you, if the print is small enough. :-D

What a great idea! My GS loves the "I Spy" books - he would adore this one! I made him a crazy quilt along the same idea but I think your's would really keep him occupied looking for treasures!

Sharon M 02-22-2011 06:17 AM

What a wonderful I Spy quilt!! Looks like a lot of fussy cutting there

Soooo cute!!

cctx. 07-11-2011 06:36 PM

Awesome collection, really cute!

Jazzz 07-11-2011 06:53 PM

What inspiration this gives me...actually it would be fun to do something like a round robin with this and have quilters take to use and contribute more before passing along. It would be nice to look forward to new stuff and to save yours for others!!

olgaflowers 07-11-2011 07:02 PM

I will say, when I started I didn't expect anybody was going to send squares, and from all over, I knew when Hypertulla sent Me Elvis, I was on to something :).
But yes, doing a round robin !! Your quilt would be one of a kind !! oh, even a 3 inch/3inch would be neat!
the 2 inch, was tough on the fingers!!
