I have seen a lot of these and would really like to do one however I did not like the pattern to be the whole quilt . Did you have a pattern to show you how to put it in the blue fabric like that. I really love the colors and the lay out is the best.

No pattern. First, I used only one-half of the two yards of fabric I bought because I wanted a small quilt/wall hanging so I didn't have too many blocks to work with. Once I laid them out in a size/ shape that I liked, I just cut half hexagons to fill in the empty spaces to create a rectangle quilt. You cut strips, then cut them into trapezoids of the size that match the size of your OBW half blocks. (You don't sew the hexagons together but rather sew the rows of half hexagons together, eliminating the need to sew Y seams.)

Thanks. I think I'll check out the library and see if they have the book before I buy it. The tutorial didn't really help - it confuse me instead. I think I know what to do, but I would like to see the book and then I'll get to the daring part - cutting the fabric.
