VERY pretty love the colors!

debcavan 03-28-2011 05:35 PM

You have clusters of color, it looks good. The colors are gorgeous. Aren't these fun

spartan quilter 03-28-2011 05:46 PM

Can you post some of the original fabric? Your placement looks very nice. Distinct color groupings. Keep at it and don't get discouraged. It is looking beautiful.

Froggiey 03-28-2011 05:49 PM

I bought just enough fabric for six repeats at a quilt store and I am going back this weekend to get some more for the trim. I dont have a handfull of scraps. This is a lot of work. Probably my last one!

Your quilt is going to be stunning!

DebraK 03-28-2011 06:23 PM

I think you are on the right track. Makes me think of coleus plants.

Jingle 03-28-2011 06:30 PM

Looks pretty to me, like those colors.

redquilter 03-28-2011 06:31 PM

You don't need any help at all. That's gorgeous! Love, love, love the colors!

You don't need to do that if you don't want to, although it is nice to see the original fabric. Just choose a coordinating fabric and use that.

Your arrangement is beautiful. No one but you can decide whether to stop arranging or not. My first one I arranged and rearranged for more than a week. After that, I rearranged once, maybe twice and let it be. You agonize over the first one the most, then it gets easier.

And I would like to point out what you said about no waste. There was someone on another thread somewhere who didn't like OBW's and was telling all sorts of lies about wasted fabric.

bailey 03-28-2011 06:35 PM

Oh, I just love the colors. Please post picture of original fabric if you can.

miss_ticky2 03-28-2011 06:45 PM

I think that is turning out lovely. I love the colours and the placement.
I finished my first one just in the last couple of weeks and I wasn't sure if I would do another either. Maybe one day :)

franie 03-28-2011 06:46 PM

WOW is all I can say. Love the colors together.

Cha 03-28-2011 06:51 PM

Very pretty! I love the colors. I have a OBW on my design wall for months now. It is much harder to design for me. I have chaged it may times. If you like it, sew it quick or you will change you mind 100 times lol.

Looks magnificent...do what makes you happy....but I think this is right on track. Really gorgeous colour palette.

Very pretty....The quilts I toil over the most to get perfect are the most satisfying.

purple_butterfly 03-29-2011 12:51 AM

Beautiful! Love those colors

hobbykat1955 03-29-2011 04:12 AM

Lovely but...don't you hate but's...My personal arrangements would mix the ones with green in more..I like balance of colors and it just seems to me that too much purple to the left and the greens in one spot...But it's all personal preference...It's really lovely...

sandraa 03-29-2011 03:58 PM

Looks great and I love the colors

pjnesler 03-29-2011 04:18 PM

They are a bit of work, but your effort is gorgeous!! :D:D:D

PaperPrincess 03-30-2011 10:02 AM

Really pretty. If there is any way that you can put them on a vertical display wall, that would help. It seems to make the arrangement easier. i did mine on a table, like you are, and as soon as I put it on a wall, the arrangment was much more obvious.

redpurselady 03-30-2011 11:12 AM

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous - can you post a picture of the uncut fabric? This is stunning!!

sewwjudy 03-30-2011 03:00 PM
