The fabric is by Janet Claire, Moda's More Hearty Good Wishes. The wool batting was a little puffier than the cotton batting (warm & natural) I usually use. The only problem I had the batting wasn't completely covered by the quilt along the top edge and the hopping foot on my longarm had a tendency to get caught. I trimmed it. The funny thing was it didn't do it at all on the sides. I'm trying different battings. Used bamboo for a Halloween quilt, have a polyester batting for a baby quilt I'm making.

Very pretty quilt. I was told wool batting is very easy to hand quilt, so I am planning to get some to hand quilt an old top I bought. It's so soft....

I really like this one - it will look great in your cottage.

Looks cozy. I've never used wool...what did you think about it?

Very nice.

That's a big quilt! Kudos on the great finish! Very colorful too. :)

Sure looks great. Is the wool significantly warmer than the cotton batting? Can you tell when you sleep under it if you didn't know it was there?

Very pretty quilt!

What a lovely quilt you made. Enjoy!

The picture was taken at home because the bedrooms at the cottage are too small to get a decent picture and I didn't down load them so posted after we got home. We used it this past weekend and it seems warmer than cotton and lighter weight. The quilting shows up more than cotton and it seems cozy. I think it drapes a little better.
