One down for my Guild's May Quilt Show
1 Attachment(s)
Each member of my small quilting/book group will be making 2 quilts for our Guild's upcoming show. Our group reads a new book each month and we each are making a quilt from something that inspired us in 2 of last year's book, one was a novel about Van Gogh and the other was a story that took place on the Jersey Shore. I have the basics of one quilt done, my "Sailing on The Jersey Shore" quilt, it needs to be sandwiched and quilting begun. Van Gogh is one of my favorite artists so I thought I'd have some new and different ideas for a quilt but so far the only 'inspiration" I've come up with is Sunflowers, which I'm sure most of the other gals have thought of also. Better take another look thought the Van Gogh book to hope to come up with something. May in Jersey

Really cute! Wasn't there Van Gogh fabric out a couple of years ago? Sunflowers would be great!

You can go in an obscure direction for the Van Gogh theme with "The potato eaters" and use potato fabric.

What a sweet challenge that really makes you think of the story setting and plot. You get double enjoyment.
