one down, two to go

This year for Christmas my small guild has decided to donate quilts to the neediest residents in the local nursing home. This is the first one out of my sewing room. The second one has the blocks ready for their last two seams and the third one is cut. As soon as I have all three of them pieced I'll layer and baste all three of them and then quilt them on my Janome 6600.

Your quilt is awesome. Everything about it is perfect and I want to make one for my brother and sister-in-law in their colors. Hope mine turns out as perfect as yours. I have the pattern and had forgotten about it - it's in my 3 ring binder along with so many others. Your quilt is an inspiration. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the work you are putting in on this project. My mother was in a nursing home and I couldn't believe the number of people there who had been thrown away by family and friends. They will be so grateful for anything you do for them!

What a sweet quilt for some very lucky person.
|
I'm sure they will all be loved! God bless you.

I have #2 in good progress now. The blocks are done and I just have to decide what I'm doing from here. I don't want to do the triple sashing on this one but I think the area where the blocks come together is boring. So I'm going to do a single narrow sashing of the block center fabric with the star point fabric as the cornerstones and then border it like in the picture.
I may not have a lot of time to work on it again until Monday though. |
