I finished this one for DH brother and sis-in law. It is TV size (a little smaller than a twin) and backed with flannel. It picks up lint and I used fabric softner-they have a dog-hope with another washing it will be better.

It is my number 4. I have #5 in the planning to be finished by the time my mom comes home from the hospital. 1 week-the race is on!

You did an excellent job on it... I do understand the rat race to get them done

I absolutely LOVE it! Same pattern as the Amish quilt I want to make. But, hoo boy, it looks just gorgeous in plaids! Really pretty job! Everyone will be THRILLED! I know I would be! That's a keeper! Can I copy your excellence?!!

Oh! I like that. What a great use for scraps. I need to try something like that and clean out my scrap box. Nice job!

So nice! Plaids are my favorite too!

I hope everythings ok with your Mom.

I love it!!! Super Job.

That is really nice!! Love the plaids. Did you use up scraps or did you have to go out & buy to get your nice selection? I think it's great!

That is *wonderful*!! I love the way you used a controlled scrappy-ness to make such a fantastic pattern. Would you mind terribly if I "steal" your style?

For this one I bought the plaids and used the "controlled" scrap look.

I made mine with the plaids all scrapy and it has smaller squares and a larger border. I like it but I thought the in-laws would like the "organized" look better.

They opened it this afternoon and LOVE it. I found this version on line and mine is from a book at our local library. Mine is posted:

What great work you do! Did you quilt them yourself? If you did, you are miles ahead of me!

Nice job on #3 and #4. Can't wait to see #5!

Thanks everyone! Glad you like it.
Yes, I quilt them myself. I have a Grace Frame that I used with my Bernina 830. Mother in Laws old machine and it worked well. DH (and Santa) bought me a Juki to use with my frame and I will be trying that out on #5. :D I find running the machine top speed and racing back and forth to be VERY FUN! I do a free motion. Tried following a pattern but will need to practice on that!

Quilt # 4 is from a book at the library-The pattern was called "Sunshine and Shadows". It is a veriation of an Amish pattern. It is also called "Roman Stripes".

For #5 I Googled it and found this version. The squares are a little larger and it made up large enough that I didn't need to put so much border around it. That made it go together pretty quickly.

I would love to see yours, Grandma Pam! And anyone's, if you try it!
