He looks like one happy camper...penguins and a woman who loves him to the end. I think this is what every man seeks.
My dh is a penguin fan also and he has a penguin quilt that goes with him to his numerous hospital stays. I think your hubby was a man of good taste. He chose penguins and YOU. I will say a prayer for the both of you. |
I am so sorry for your loss. He looks extremely happy with the quilt of love that you made for him. I ditto what others said that I hope the picture of him and the quilt will bring you peace. Love Beth

Now that the tears have stopped I can say from experience that we never know what we might encounter just around the corner. He knew you loved him greatly and I know you will miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. linda

Deb, I am so sorry for your loss. I am so glad that you were able to finish the quilt and get such a wonderful picture of your Hubby before he passed. He looks so very pleased with the quilt -- I would print that picture on fabric and attach it to the back of the quilt as a rememberance. By the way -- the quilt is wonderful!!
It made me cry to see his happy face and think he's not with you any longer... So sorry you lost him! Now every time you look at the quilt you can remember how happy you made him. (((((Huge hug!!)))))
You have my deepest sympathies in the loss of your husband. Don't know what I would do without mine. It was wonderful that you could finish this for him and he was able to see it completed and enjoy it.
So sorry for your loss. So glad you got the quilt finished for him. It is a very pretty quilt. Thank you for sharing it.
I offer you my sympathy. Your DH sure looks happy and proud with the quilt.
In January I lost my husband to Alzheimers. During his last week under Hospice care he was covered with his "security quilt" I had made it for him in 1988 when he was undergoing chemo and radiation . It was a simple blue drunkers path. Our oldest daugher now has that quilt. |
Great quilt for a happy man. My sympathy to you as I know the path you travel(just lost my DH 3/14/12)
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's good that you made this sweet quilt that put a smile on his face. I'm sure the two of you had many happy times over the years and hope the memories are a comfort to you.
The look on his face is pure joy - what a wonderful picture & gift. I am so sorry for your loss. Peace be with you.

My deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your Dear Husband. I know what you are going through, for my dear, sweet, wonderful husband passed away this March. I am so glad you were able to get his penguin quilt finished so he could enjoy it; and we can see by the look on his face how proud he was of it, and of you for making it. I think it is such a nice idea to have it hanging in your bedroom. The quilt is just so pretty. My prayers are with you. ((((((Hugs)))))
