Very pretty! The colors remind me of the gem tourmaline. It ranges from deep purple to deep greens.

Katier, This is a gorgeous quilt. Your niece-in-law is the winner on this one! I love, love the colors, the pattern, and ESPECIALLY the quilting you did with variegated thread in the middle of the stars. Soooooooooooooooo creative.

Batiks make up so beautiful, no matter the pattern. This pattern really shows them off.

Very stunning quilt. The colors are so vibrant and attractive, and the quilting is so wonderful, and very creative. I love the twirly-gigs you have coming off of your stars, I wish I would think of things like that, it gives it such a peppy personality. Great job. That is one I would love to make.

The pattern is Lucky Stars, by Atkinson Designs. I've made several with this pattern in all sorts of colors and they all end up looking great. If you're looking for an easy pattern with great directions, this is a good one. The fabrics are various batik FQs I bought at the LQS. :shock: :mrgreen: :-D :-P :thumbup: :XD: |
