I am making this quilt for my friend's 8 yr old son who is an avid Steelers fan. The family just moved to Pittsburg and this is a surprise for him. However, I need some input as to the quilting and suggestions will be welcomed. I thought of SID in the color blocks and stippling in the black areas but I am not sure what to do in the gray and multicolor inner borders.

I LOVE sports themed quilts. You're getting a HUGE thumbs up (and keep in mind I'm a Browns fan!) It's hard to suggest a quilting pattern for the sashing not knowing your skill level and time constraints. I'd probably try to figure out a design involving goal posts , a gridiron, or maybe even something with the diamond-like shapes on their helmets/logo. He'll love it.
