One of Two Quilts For My Nephew: The Zombie
 

I told my nieces and nephews last year that they would all receive a new quilt by their next birthdays. My twin nephews just had a birthday, so I worked up what they requested. This is a zombie quilt that my nephew, Gaige, requested. He wanted a zombie that had red skin, green blood and that ate fish. He also requested a zombie turtle, zombie leopard, zombie crow, zombie eagle, zombie army man, and crows carrying zombie heads.

Where the theme of your quilt is not my cup of tea.....I can see why your nephew really likes his new quilt. You did a wonderful job with his request. You are a true artist. Thanks! My sister has assured me that they will be heirlooms for years to come, even though they're being used as they had been intended; as much loved quilts.

I am floored by your creativity on this. Fabulous job. Too bad you can't borrow them to put them in a show! They would surely garner a lot of interest even though some viewers would be appalled by the subject matter. I rather like it. Now off to find the other one.

I have 5 grandsons so I know about 'boy ideas'. Your ability to so artistically create in fabric the picture he wanted is wonderful. You are a true artist and fabric pieces are your palette. Perfect quilt. I can't wait to see the quilts you make for the other nieces and nephews!
