Love it! Like how you fussy cut the bows.

I almost bought the templates last month, but alas, so little time because of school to do much of anything. Maybe next year.

Eddie will be proud. Well done.

O.K. So what is a hickory nut?

tooMuchFabric 12-03-2010 04:50 PM

Do a search on here for hickory nut, or go to Eddie's postings, and you will find a great tutorial. This is a very fun pattern to make.

butterflies5518 12-04-2010 05:47 PM

thank you for sharing! I was in the same position and used to take "project's to the MIL home every Sunday - she thought I was creative and industrious, little did she know......

marymac628 12-04-2010 05:52 PM

To all of you who have asked - I did not not have the templates (even though I have a closet full of pattens I usually want to work on something I don't have a pattern for!) I was able to buy a 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 hexagon ruler at Joann's. I then cut a template out of felt so that I would be able to line the center batting and fabric up right. They are quick and easy to make. I did most of a second one today and will make placemats to match for a sister gift.
