I think completing a block every now and then will be a real motivator. Keep us posted here...remember we love pictures |
This is my favorite block also, and it is beautiful. Your neice will love it!

I have always loved this pattern! And the colors are beautiful. I wanted to make one of these for my son's wedding, but he doesn't like the design, so I'm going for the Venetian Dream quilt, which I cannot find a pattern for!!! ARGH!!

I'm thinking if it were me, I'd be telling myself,"of course, I could make every other a 12" block and then do a block of 4 6"ers then a 12" and alternate." LOL Not that I'm a defeatist, but just the stress of thinking about that many pieces in that few months would set off a fibro flare for me. Or I'd be thinking how it would make a nice quilt for their first anniversary. LOL.
I do love your block. The colors are wonderful! Good luck and good speed with your project. May it bring you joy! |
Oh my is that a nice block. I am on a similar schedule as you except for my oldest son who is getting married Feb. 2011. I put my blocks on steroids though(12 inches finnished) and not Dresden Plate. I am also adding some setting blocks, sashing and a liberal border. It will be enough for me to get that Cal King done by then. Only 36 blocks to go but then they must obviously be much bigger then yours. Besure to post when you are done. It will be a very pretty quilt!
Wowzer, that is going to be a pretty thing.
JUST LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT !!
That is going to be beautiful when its done. God bless.
