Personally I prefer it without the applique. Perhaps you could quilt flowers into the baskets...that would be my choice!

I know I'm getting in on this late, but I think something more like a vine & say three leaves or maybe just a stem with a bud or two would make it simpler & more pleasing to the eye. You know, "almost spring". Love the baskets. They are pretty enough all on their own. Another option would be to use the flower appliques in the border. Don't know what you might have planned for that. Bet you're really confused now, huh?

If it is raw edge, I think it is too big - needs to be turned under or made smaller, to show more background but definitely enhances the quilt by being there. Perhaps you could do every other one, to give a varied look?

Maybe move them on to the basket a little.

The beauty and simplicity of the basket alone is wonderful.

How about alternating, have one with the flower and the next without and so forth. The colors are beautiful.

I personally love the flower and its size. Your fabrics are so fun and lively I think it has personality with the flower, my only suggestion would be to drop it down a bit, like it's hanging over the basket rather than floating in mid air. Great job I love it!

The flower looks really pretty but maybe a bit smaller. And if you think a flower is too busy on each block, maybe just put a flower on every other basket block. Just a thought.

whatever you do, it's adorable!

Love the colors - I'd probably move it down so it sits on the rim of the basket in about 1' from the corner of the basket. If you could post that picture it would give us an idea if it would work or not
