So, I have been wanting to learn how to do wonky things....to get out of my prim and proper everything equal. So, can you tell me what you think of my 1st ever wonky block? It's a wonky house.

It looks great. I too have just begun doing wonky blocks and have found that the more I do the more comfortable I am at making it wonky. One suggestion is to keep the outside pieces larger so that you have plenty of seam allowance. Keep going the ones that you don't like... make great pillows or comfort quilts. Nothing goes to waste.

Thanks you all. I almost put......go easy on me on my post! LOL Thank you. :)

The great thing about wonky, is there is no right or wrong.
|
I love those wonky houses
|
Very nice job!
|
I think it's great!
|
It is very cute! It is from Strolling the block pattern? It looks a lot like it. You did a great job!

now you need a wonky cat sitting the doorway, a wonky flower bed, etc. your mind can really get going when you have a good place to start. looks like a fun way to do scraps & just keep making them as the notion strikes you. bet you could do a progression of houses, occasions to show a family's journey.
darn, you may have got me started on something ! Fun ! |
Just need a kitty in the doorway...

looks good but the seam on the left will have to be very narrow

Yeah, I should have taken more off of the right instead of the left.
