Another vote for yellow. White sashing is too harsh and somehow feels unfinished to me. Yellow really makes the squares pop! Will be beautiful when done.

I like the white and the yellow..here's a link to a 1930's repro quilt I did with pinwheel blocks.....white backing in the blocks..and I used Yellow sashing...it came out really well and I love the contrast......

There is no wrong answer. However, I like color and go for the lighter yellow sashing. Guess you just have to go with your instinct and go with what makes you happy. Beautiful job with color combinations and workmanship. Do post the completed project.

I like the yellow sashing best, the white sashing 2nd best. If you're going to do the white sashing, I would make all of my 9 patches with no white in them, so that they all stand out as much as the dresden plates. This will be a gorgeous quilt regardless of sashing color.
