You'll probably have to cut/paste for the links. When they are in the body of the text it works, but now I've discovered they don't copy in photo headers!

You are so very sweet ! Thank you and they all worked ! I really really like how you used different patterns on one quilt. So nice. Blessings

Beautiful quilt and story, I'm sure your DGD will truly teasure it and the time spent with her Gram.

I like the idea of making the grands a quilt for their 6th B-day, because you have an idea of the things THEY like and the colors THEY like. When we make baby quilts it is either what we like or what the mom likes, so this is a great idea.

Gracie is: GRAY - C (C for Cat). She was an offspring of a ferrel cat (wild), and a friend scooped her up. She really isn't a "her", but she's too young to understand that (she's 3). There isn't a wild hair left on Gracie, especially when she's licking my face at night when she's sharing the pillow. She loves to lay on the floor under the sewing machine, catching the long pieces that droop down.

I have lots of butterflies in my yard and I will always remember your mother's contribution to her DGGD's quilt whenever I see their delicate *antlers*! I think she did a wonderful job and you and she created a treasure. Thanks for sharing your sweet story.

klarina 03-20-2011 11:17 AM

Such a great story attached to a beautiful quilt. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading about great grandma's last quilting job. She not only left great memories, but I can bet she took with her a very nice feeling of having done something fun and lovely for her great grand daughter.
