Orange peel mini quilt

1 Attachment(s)
Took a break before I started quilting a couple of quilts and played with a mini charm pack I had.. This little mini was on my bucket list and the mini charm pack was perfect for it as were the gray scraps and small remnants I had from last quilt. It is 15" squared. The background is cut in 3" squares. Applique is turned edge and machine sewn using Monofilament clear thread on top and gray cotton on bottom. There are two more mini's on my bucket list to complete for my mini wall...At least, I think that is all.. Lol...you never know...

Oh that's so cute. I like orange peels but have never used them in a quilt. You do such beautiful work & thanks for sharing.

Stunning! I am really into mini quilts right. Mind you not miniature. You know the ones you need to sew with a 1/8 inch seam. Orange peel is one on my list.

Lovely mini...I have done a larger orange peel on a table topper but love your minis, especially on the grey background. Did you use a straight stitch to apply the orange peels with the monofilament? I tried to zoom on the photo but I couldn’t tell.

jmoore....I used a micro zigzag stitch on this project but have used straight stitch on other projects.

AGreat idea for a mini. I have lots of little spots that need a warm touch. Also, I have a stack of FQ grays that are itching to be used.
