I have a long way to go, but so far I think it looks good. I'll sure be glad when I'm done, but I keep taking breaks
that is exactly what i did last winter. you'll get it done, if you just keep working on it a little at a time. that's what i did. looks like you are using sign board like i did. hang in there. then arrange them by color.
It does look great - and glad you remember it's a work in progress and to take breaks.
looking good - lots more to do you say but don't you think it's more rewarding than folding laundry? LOL
Looks great. I need to do this to and will put them by color.

Yeah, I read on here about Dollar Tree having foam board for $1.00 each. I bought 15 pieces and am cutting them. I'll organize by color when I get closer to being done |
It is looking fabulous! I took a lot of breaks myself while organizing all of my fabrics. But boy was the effort worth it; I love going into my organized sewing room every chance I get.
Thanks for the inspiration!
looks good so far
Noticed today I'm in a mess again too. Maybe take a day or two and start "playing" and see what I have. My fab gets messed up so easily. Who goes in there and stirs up trouble?
good job half the battle is getting started.
Well begun is half done. :-)

What is the smallest size you do this way? My fabric is color coded in separate bins but not handy. But my fabric is all diff sizes.

I've got some smaller pieces on the same board as larger ones, with similar colors. |
I did that too and I enjoy it so much. So easy to choose fabrics for the next project. Keep at it is soo worth it
Looks great
I wonder how much someone would charge to come and do this at my house? Looks good so far!!!
You'll be so relieved when it's done. There's nothing like being able to SEE ALL your fabrics instead of having them scattered all over the place or in totes. Keep up the good work!
looks great.
Curious? What did you use to cut your sign board? Thanks in advance for all your help.
My problem is that I put it all that way and I don't have enough room. Then I put it in piles and I can't see what is in the back piles LOL I can't find a happy medium.
I have close to 500 yards mostly folded on comic book boards and I just never can get it all organized where I am totally happy with it. robin |
Looking good, keep it up! It's amazing how you come across fabrics you forgot you had!!

I'm using my rotary cutter. If it ruins the blade, it's ok, I needed to change it anyway |

I know! I'm finding fabrics I forgot that I had and really like... and others that I'm wondering what I was thinking when I bought it |
I did this awhile ago. It is nice to fondle your fabric once in awhile, isn't it? I even measured mine while I was at it and wrote the measurement on a slip of paper that I have pinned to the fabric. Saves a lot of guessing.

Too funny. I toil over this at home but would LOVE to work on someone else's. Wanta' swap chores?
