I plan to make Eleanor Burns' Orion Star Quilt for a charity auction in the fall. I wanted to practice her method of making the 'flying geese' on a small Christmas wall hanging. Her directions look complicated, but after making them, I see the beauty and clarity of making them this way, as long as you make that perfect 1/4". I actually made two of the wall hangings. The second one was better that the first attempt.
I also included another quilt that I have made. It still needs to be quilted. Orion Star my first attempt, second will be a Christmas present Steeler Quilt |
Looking good! Thanks for sharing.

great quilts, where did u get the steelers fabric at? I need to get some to make a tote for my neice.

A friend found the squares at a second hand shop in a baggie for $1.50 and I had to buy only 1 yard of the white Steeler fabric at Joanns. Finding a goldish orange to match was a difficult find.
