Oh my. I hope this bear is not looking for a bird feeder to rob. I'm so glad we don't have bears here, they would surely scare me.

Janeen 07-13-2008 07:45 PM

There are bears around here - we just haven't seen any... black bears - even in this county...
mostly they don't bother anybody but some are going in people's yards and scaring them....
almost as bad as alligators!

When I lived in Colorado a few years ago, we had a bear in our woods beside the house. I use to come from work at 3AM pull almost to front door with my door even with front door, and fly into the house.

I love Colorado but will live where the bears don't roam.

He sure is a handsome guy though isn't he!!!

Oh my gosh!
I lived in Montana for a year and never saw a bear.

Does he quilt?

I have always wanted to see one of those and a big horn sheep.

And SD... how come you haven't been inspiring us with your work lately?

O my.. I am sure that was eye opening.

reneebobby 07-14-2008 02:15 AM

WOw that is way to cool but i know that they can get into trouble.

Bevanger 07-14-2008 04:16 AM

They are so cute, but wouldn;t want one in my yard.

sandpat 07-14-2008 04:22 AM

Wow, SD, he or she is beautiful! I'd just as soon view the bears from more of a distance than that, but they are amazingly awesome aren't they?

quiltwoman 07-14-2008 05:07 AM

What a beautiful creature! I'd love to see one in it's true environment.

With my luck, my dog would try to chase the bear. I'm sure he'd find out that Mr. Bear is not like the deer :D

beachlady 07-14-2008 05:33 AM

Scary!!! But beautiful.

judee0624 07-14-2008 02:28 PM

:-o Shadow, maybe you need to call the bear whisperer who lives in Mammoth,CA. They had a big problem there with bears breaking into vacation homes and raiding the fridges. I guess the bear guy had a lot of work.

Tim, I was just thinking the same thing about you and Steve. Y'all have been pretty quiet lately!

SD, love the bear, but I'm glad he visited you and not me. Our wild critters here are prairie dogs and rabbits..not too terrifying :) :)
