You are a smart shopper. I noticed that you bought a goodly amount of very light fabrics. Like most quilters, I have mostly medium and not enough very dark or very light fabrics in my stash.

Great stuff

Looks like you had a wonderful time. Spending money is always so much fun!

Great purchases. My viewpoint: if mama's happy, everyone's happy so your fabric passion is good for all. Plus you'll have fun making all those quilts with your new fabrics and the recipients will be blessed.

I have to stay out of the stores after this week! So today, I was minding my own business and I was looking for a quilt rack for my family room, found that and 3 1/2 yards of Marine Corp material in the same store, a furniture store! I have been wanting to make my hubby a Marine Corp quilt and already had some material for that, but this was to good to pass up, maybe use it for the backing perhaps. So addicting, good thing I go back to work next week!

Hi Rachael,
If you firgue out how to maintain that spending freeze, please share! Nearest I can firgue out, I can't afford to retire, I would spend all my time and money in these fabric stores! It is so addicting, now I got to get busy and actually make something! I firgue there will be some Christmas gifts in here somewhere :) |
Looks like you had a wonderful trip, at least at the quilt stores.

I admit I am weak when it comes to fabric, but so far I have stayed out of the fabric stores this week. Joann's and Hancocks have some great coupons and sales that is calling my name!!! Well after all, I do need to stop and get some thread, I might take a quick peek around while I am there :)

Only a quilter knows how expensive those cute little piles are. Be careful out there! ha ha
