Outback and Beyond (Oriental Elegance)
 

I made this top at retreat last year and finished the machine quilting today. I had collected fabrics over the years from Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand and my DD brought some back from Tahiti. I wanted to use them all in this one quilt, and although the pattern was Oriental Elegance by Pine Tree Country Quilts from the Sept 2007 The Quilter Magazine; I am happy with my version. Great quilt, even better that you were able to collect fabrics from all those countries. Hmmm, wonder if my daughter will send me fabric from Australia now that she's living there with her new husband; and she's supposed to be traveling with him from time to time. She'll probably buy fabric, then send it to me to make something for her, but that's OK, I can live vicariously through her fabrics.
