Outdoorsy Quilt for son finished

My son hasn't received a quilt from me yet and I've been quilting for nearly 8 years now. So far, all he got was a set of four wolf prints that I detailed & he really loves. So when we saw him last year, I told him I thought it was time for him to get a quilt & I asked him what theme he wanted. He said outdoorsy. I asked his favorite color & he said RealTree Camouflage, so here's what I put together for him. My DH purchased all the fabrics for me & I put them together. We also put pictures of our son with both of his motorcycles (the old & the new) and a picture of him when he & his dad had a special day out on the motorcycles. Another personal collage of pictures of fish & a turkey he caught was added to make it even more special. I've still got to wash it and ship it. He hasn't seen any part of it yet. All the pictures have been detailed as well as the background fabric. I think he's going to really love it! :-) Special thanks go out to my friend Julie and my DH who held it for the picture to be taken.

Love it and I'm sure your son will, too. I made one using that same panel for my then 8 year old nephew several years ago. He loves it, but won't take it home because it will get 'messed up' there. Apparently, the dog doesn't take care of anything...

Very special for someone who has waited long enough for one of mom's treasures. Love it that you personalized it, too.

I know that quilt will be loved because you have made such an effort to really personalize it. Really masculine in its presentation.

I’m sure he’s going to be thrilled to finally get one of your quilts. : )

Your "outdoorsy" quilt is great but the photos take it over the top to fabulous.

Better picture of Outdoor Hobby Quilt

My DH came up with a better picture of this quilt so you can really see the details. Sorry the other one was so bad! I can't find a good photo editor for free & my computer's editor isn't easy to work with either. Hopefully this one's easier to see. Enjoy!
