Just have to sew the corners on, add the border and then it's ready to be quilted.

I posted this in another thread with 2 other quilts. Someone had mentioned that the bottom rows looked a little wonky ... and I said yes, they are! Turns out I had forgotten a whole row LOL

At least it was caught before it was all sewn together!

Good save! Isn't it funny how we can miss some huge things sometimes??!!!?

Lovely top, is very rich for a two-color quilt :)

QuiltnNan 07-30-2019 12:54 PM

it looks much better now! :)

Jingle 07-30-2019 01:17 PM

Beautiful, I love those colors.

Tartan 07-30-2019 01:30 PM

Very pretty!

MarionsQuilts 07-30-2019 02:10 PM

I have a small problem LOL ... there is not enough purple at the edges for me to sew a border on without losing the points of my squares.

I have a viable option - turn the squares into half triangles ...

does anyone have any other ideas? is there a way to add purple fabric to the edges without losing my points?

QuiltnNan 07-30-2019 02:14 PM

If you deliberately sew a strip to cover the same amount on each on point square, it becomes a new design element. I'd call them deliberately made kite blocks :)

Thanks! I think that's what I am going to have to do. Such a shame that I only figured this out now! Oh well!

Gorgeous! Good catch on the last row!

QuiltnNan 07-30-2019 04:00 PM

different from what I pictured, but I like it a lot better! One would not even know it was not the intended pattern

MicheleC 07-30-2019 04:12 PM

Beautiful pattern and colors.

sewbizgirl 07-30-2019 04:27 PM

It's beautiful and puppy agrees!

Pretty quilt top. The contrast of color makes the lattice design pop nicely.

SusieQOH 07-31-2019 03:50 AM

Jackson is adorable!! Oh and I like the quilt too :)

linmid 07-31-2019 04:43 AM

Very very nice, love the colors. Are you going to do the quilting?

luvstoquilt 07-31-2019 04:58 AM

Love how it turned out! I find if I take pictures of my quilts I can see any mistakes immediately in the picture! Jackson is awesome!

QuiltBaer 07-31-2019 05:54 AM

Love the white half-triangles. Good idea. It's a beautiful quilt.

Jordan 07-31-2019 06:35 AM

Beautiful!! Thank goodness someone was kind enough to inform you of the error in your quilt. It turned out gorgeous and your fabrics are so pretty.

sash 07-31-2019 07:38 AM

It's such a beautiful quilt and pattern; love those fabrics/colors.

Yes, I do all my own quilting!

Thanks all for the comments. And yes, I don't remember who is was that said the bottom wasn't looking right, but it certainly stopped me from just sewing it all together LOL

Very interesting quilt design. I look forwarded to seeing the quilted finish.;)

barny 07-31-2019 01:52 PM

You have made a beautiful quilt. And also by cutting those squares in half, you have turned the quilt in and it looks wonderful now. It takes my eyes back into the quilt. I also love your doggie.

mtkoldra 07-31-2019 04:20 PM

love everything about your quilt, lots of talent in it!

Beautiful! Congratulations on completion 👏👏

I like the look of the 1/2 sq triangles along the border better than the full diamond look. Very nice looking two color quilt top.
