Over and Down Under
1 Attachment(s)
This is Bonnie Sullivan's quilt pattern "Over and Down Under", the neutral version, using her Woolies jelly roll by Maywood Studio. I'm thinking of naming it "The Fabric of Life" or "We Are All Connected". What is your opinion or suggestion? It was a fast and easy quilt that took me just under a week to make. It still has to be sandwiched and quilted, along with another lap quilt and two twin sized quilts before Christmas. I am still waiting on a shipment of temporary adhesive spray before I can get busy with that. This is a gift for my brother-in-law who moved to Illinois from Nevada to be closer to us. Unfortunately it will just be the three of us this Christmas with Covid, as our kids live on the opposite sides of the country.

Pretty quilt, especially great for a guy. I am terrible at naming quilts, but here goes.... Welcome Home. Cool Nights. Covid Remembered
|
Beautiful quilt EmiliasNana! I love the color choices, as it really pops out. And Barb in Louisiana, I think you are very good at naming quilts. I especially like the Covid Remembered, but I would add 2020.

wonderful quilt. Love the neutral color choices

This is a lovely quilt it looks very complicated you as you say is easier than someone would think. I love the warm colors. They are very inviting and great colors for a man. Great job!! Thanks for sharing this beauty.

Oh boy, do I like this one! Lovely job and colors are superb.
|
Very pretty and looks complicated. Perfect colors for a man. I don't name quilts.
|
It's beautiful. The color shifting and color selection are gorgeous.
|
What a handsome quilt and beautifully done. It's just perfect for a man. It's hard to find good, masculine patterns. I'm going to keep this one in mind.

Beautiful quilt and love the colors. I never name any of my quilts so I am no help to you for naming
|
I like the fabric of life suggestion. I made this one for my hubby in the colored version. It is really heavy to quilt. I don't know about you, but my wrists hurt for a week afterwards.
You really did a nice job on yours. |
I love that! You did a superior job at piecing all those corners!
|
Did you say easy? It looks like it would take me a yr. to complete. Love the woolies fabic.
I like your name we are all connected. Since the quilt is a gift for your brother in law, you could name the quilt something specific to your bil or the occasion. The pattern makes me think of the word Woven.. Woven with love and warmth! Great job! |
What a fascinating quilt. I can see why you were attracted to the pattern. Name? Something with basket in it, Brown Basket which is rather a blah name came to mind. Bet you can find better options. Keep searching. You could always go with Over and Under #1.

I love your idea of We Are All Connected. It just seems right for the times. :)
Beautiful quilt! |
Love it and love your colors.
|
I love your quilt! The colors you chose for the pattern look gorgeous. It reminds me of an extreme close up of a plaid print. So cool!
|
Oh my, that is beautiful! I love the colors you chose. Awesome to say the least!
|
Love the colors. What pattern is this?
|
You could call it "We are all woven together". It is a wonderful design and your fabric choices are perfect for it.
|
Beautiful. Love this quilt. Will search for that pattern. Thanks for posting.

Why does it have to be just a man's quilt? I know many a woman who'd love to curl up under that on a cold winter's night in front of a roaring fire.
BTW- that is a very stunning quilt in all aspects. |
