Is what I have called the placemat that I made my granddaughter for when she comes to stay with us. I was going to make an owl shaped placement but on further thinking it through I decided that the owl would be covered up with the plate and cup so I decided to applique an owl onto a rectangle placement and sew the wings down with a gap so that the cutlery can slip in. Anyway here Is "Owl be watching you"

I love big quilts but really enjoy doing small projects. Your placemat is just so cute! I could see doing one for my granson! Never thought about it before I saw this one! I jave made whimsicl placemats but the way you leave room for the cutletry is really clever!
