Geometrically, I think they are the same. However, since I used Fons and Porter's pattern, Ozark Star Table Topper, I just referred to them by the same name. Welcome to the quilters board. It is amazing and I have learned so very much.

I saw that program too and my daughter bought me the three rulers needed for Christmas (hexagon, diamond, and triangle). You have inspired me to get busy and make table toppers for next Christmas, plus complete a night stand topper for my bedroom to complete the bedspread set I made myself.
