Beautiful, love the layout.

I am also a hand quilter and have made several log cabin quilts.
My quilting solution is to quilt circles over each motif. That way you do not have to battle every seam. For me, putting circular designs on square patterns and square designs on circular patterns is just one more element of contrast. My son has the first quilt I did this with 25 years ago. It has been washed once a week during that time and not a stitch has come loose! Whatever you do, it will look gorgeous. I really love your color palette. Marveen in Sunny Tucson, AZ |
I hate to say this but the block on the right outer block is wrong! You won't be happy if it isn't fixed! I do love the pattern!! Was it a download pattern or in one of Pam's books?

The Amish were selling it for about $850. http://www.amishcountrylanes.com/Pages/hs2517.shtml It has been discontinued, I can understand why  , there is no way I would make this quilt for that price!!!! While it is really an relatively easy pattern, it is one that I have pressed a lot AND used a lot of starch. It is labor and thread intensive!!!! I am half way thru, whew!!! I am a hand quilter and with all of these seams there is no way in the world I would hand quilt this!!! I also think this may turn out to be a heavier quilt with all of the seams. The next one will be red, black, and white. IMO, Pam Bono is extremely talented! |
