Here it is - AND my first attempt at machine FMQ. I couldn't do it on my old machine, dogs wouldn't drop, so i just bought a machine second hand from a friend and now I can do it! Woo hoo! I think it's the only way to quilt these Ks - no point handquilting them, you just don't see it!
I used Warm and Natural cotton batting which is nice and thin and wasn't too bulky through the throat, which is just regular size. My stitch length is a bit variable but all in all I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Brilliant to get a top quilted in a few hours instead of weeks! I'll still hand quilt when a more decorative effect is called for but it's great to have the option to machine quilt as well - especially since I plan on making quite a few more of these One Block Wonders! :D K x Close up - and yes, I picked the best part to show you! LOL The back - I went a bit loopy here! Those are Hans' feet BTW! |
Great job!
You did good, girl! And love the feet attached to the quilt :) |

Amma - thanks for the complement on the FMQ - but like I said, I showed you the best bit! :D This is a good pattern to practice on though - so busy you don't see mistakes! K x |

Thanks for the kind words - especially about the quilting! In fact, the best part was the bit I did on one of the borders when I was rushing to finish because Hans was nearly home! There's a tip in there somewhere!
