Paper piecing - ugh...
3 Attachment(s)
First attempt at paper piecing. It looked like a process that was going to be very tedious, hence the small quilt for our dog. If I ever do another paper pieced quilt I'll certainly choose blocks with fewer pieces. The best effect comes from blocks that are the same placed together to make a larger block. I do like the precise extreme points and the effect you can get with the tiny pieces, but it was so time-consuming. Oh well, he seems to like it! I also tried a batting I wasn't sure I would like, Quilters Dream Puff. Doesn't drape very well because of the thickness, but that might get better with time and washings, and it also might drape better on a larger quilt. Nice batting though, and I have no doubt it would be very warm.
