My first go at paper piecing, made a mistake and did not cut my fabric big enought, but now I think i have the hang of it

Woo hoo - you did it! And just yesterday you were ready to toss in the towel.

That corner is an easy fix so no big deal. Look what determination & the helpers around here can do for you. Proud of you!

Can I just fix it by unpicking the strip and adding another piece?

You could try it. Is this the Union Jack you were asking about?

It's beautiful. Don't feel too bad about cutting your fabric a little short --- we have ALL done that in paper piecing.

Love it. Is it going to be displayed for the royal wedding in April?

NO, I didn't even know the wedding was in April, I heard there was going to be a royal wedding, I am so out of touch witht he Royal thing to be honest, its not my cuppa tea so to speak, now if I was still living in England it would be difficult not to notice, if it is anything like Charles & Di's wedding they are reporting on everything and anything.

My claim to fame though is I did work with Prince Andrew for a day many moons ago and my dad has met with the Queen and the Queens mother.

I am hopefully going to make one of my sons a quilt and this was just a practice piece. The block that I plan to do will be A4 / legal letter size, I just wanted to see if I could get the hang of paper piecing first, and learn how to do it before going in at the deep end.
