Here is Luv2sew Donnas, and Fromzstore blocks.
I did Donna's in a whiteish fabric with small blue stars and put primitive american stars in the corners. On Fromzstore I had it all ready and I really tried. I use some vintage velvet and my Irish lace I brought back from Belfast. For the most part it turned out great, but When I was cutting the last border my Oliso iron faulted and the front I-touch didn't work and it left holes in the lace. I am putting my last lenght of irish lace and some of the floral fabric if some one can patch the holes in the lace (last picture) I have spent 11 hours on it and just can't get it right. Linda I owe you any round on something. I appologize for this one. I had to just give up and pass it on, hopeing that someone will be able to help. PLEASE. Fovever in your debt Robert |
That is awesome it takes me back to Paris.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!

Robert, the Victorian is mine! And I am sure we can just appliqué over the boo-boo. It is just an 'opportunity' for creativity and embellishment. Love the velvet and am so impressed that you would share that beautiful lace with me! Diana

I feel so bad that I let you down. I am going to make another set of borders and send them with the quilt and you can decide if you want to replace the not so up to par ones. I always want to do a great job for my family and I don't think this one wills that bill.
Thank you for your understanding. I will post them today so you can see the new ones and use them if you want. R

Dear Robert,
You are crazy. We love your work. Diana can mend that lace without a lot of effort. You know the Navajo, among other peoples, believe it is disrespectful to the gods to make anything perfect. A real Navajo rug will purposely have a "mistake". I, personally, have had no trouble respecting that tradition!! It is supposed to be handmade. Relax. End of today's lecture from an old art teacher and a loving friend. Dotty |

Just signed on and found that I've not been getting the notifications again!!!!
Robert, I'm sorry that happened to the lace, but I agree that you do beautiful work and we all have moments when things don't go as planned. So now she had a "design opportunity" and I'm sure it will all come out in the end. I've just finished the top you sent me for your friend. I hope both you and your friend will like what I've added to it. |
